Backstreet, here I come!

May 30th, 2010 | By

The day has come. Well, in 20 minutes the day will be here. I am packed and ready for my Week of Backstreet! I’m leaving first thing in the morning! Be sure to watch my Twitter account and my YouTube account (link is in the sidebar there) for photos and videos!

Why thank you, Entertainment Weekly…

May 28th, 2010 | By

So I got a tweet today telling me that Entertainment Weekly used my site’s link in the story they wrote about the Backstreet Boys leaving Jive Records. After a 17-year relationship that yielded 130 million(!) in record sales, eight top-10 albums, and untold episodes of delirious fan fiction, the Backstreet Boys and their label Jive/Zomba are no more—and apparently they both wanted it that way. MC was linked with the “delirious fan fiction.” Everybody knows that this is just a hobby… pure and simple. But I just find it funny that they linked the site, especially as a journalist myself……[continue reading...]

Four days to go….

May 26th, 2010 | By

There are four days until my week of Backstreet Boys starts and I’ve got a gift for you!

It’s about time…..

May 25th, 2010 | By

As of right now, there are six days until I see the Backstreet Boys in Clearwater to kick off my “Week of Backstreet Boys.” Well, by the time some of you read this, it’ll be five days, but whatever, it’s coming! Big news today in the Backstreet camp, according to Leighanne’s Twitter account is that the boys have left Jive Records. I can only hope this is true, but being an independent artist is hard, especially with the vast audience they have in different countries. Jive has not backed them since “Black & Blue.” They barely promoted the albums since,…..[continue reading...]

Nine days to go….

May 22nd, 2010 | By

Ah, it’s been along week and technically it’s just begun for me. But that’s okay. I’ve got eight days until my first real vacation from work starts and nine days until my “Week of Backstreet” begins.

The one where I forgot a title

May 18th, 2010 | By

Eleven years ago today, the Backstreet Boys released “Millennium,” an album that would go on to change their lives and mine. I can’t believe it’s been 11 years since I went to by the album during my freshman year of college (the first go around). I want to thank everybody for all the thoughts about Pitty Pat’s passing. It was really hard to do and it still bothers both my mom and I. That cat was like a brother to me. If he was a kid, he’d be finishing 9th grade. That’s how old he was. Anyway, 13, well almost…..[continue reading...]

Gone with the wind…

May 15th, 2010 | By

Today was the day. My mom and I took Pitty Pat over to the Humaine Society and sent him to heaven.

A sad meow

May 11th, 2010 | By

While I’ve been posting pictures of cats lately, this post comes as something sad. My oldest cat, Pitty Pat, who I have had since my freshman year of high school in 1994 is dying. We are going to have to “put him down” on Friday and it’s killing both my mom and me. He’s like another child to her and he’s been a part of my life for almost 16 years. He’s blind and he’s getting more confused to his surroundings. He can’t find the litter box anymore and neither of us are home to give him the attention he…..[continue reading...]

No one else on earth….

May 9th, 2010 | By

This weekend has been crazy so far… I had to work a half day yesterday and shot the Wynonna concert. I actually got to meet her, which was awesome because I’ve been a fan of hers since I was little, when she performed with her mom as The Judds. Her second solo album was the first CD I ever bought.

Howie is awesome, that’s all

May 7th, 2010 | By

So today I did my interview with Mr. Howie Dorough for the local newspaper as a preview for the upcoming concert here.

I need you more than ever…

May 4th, 2010 | By

First off, “Glee” rocked tonight! They performed one of my favorite songs, “Total Eclipse of the Heart.” and it was awesome! Thanks for all the comments about the photographs. I’ll try to share more with you guys :) The kitty above is Miss Piper Prue, my youngest. I got her in May of 2008.  She’s been having a bunch of bladder/kidney infections and if it doesn’t get any better, they are going to test her for feline leukemia. I hope that doesn’t happen.

Picture Puuuurfect

May 3rd, 2010 | By

So over the past week, I’ve been playing with my new camera a little. I will get to play with it more over the next few weekends with the concert I’m working. The only real thing around my house to take photos of are my cats. I can’t really had the chance to take any of my three inside cats yet, but I have ventured outside and have taken some of some of the cats outside.
