Happy Fanniversary to me! Today marks 12 years that I’ve been a Backstreet Boys fan and my life changed forever because of it. Because of the boys, I met some of the best people in the world, friends and readers, and through them, I’ve figured out what I wanted in life – to be a writer and journalist.

It’s amazing that I’ve come this far in my life. I went from this depressed girl who somehow wanted back in high school and to know what she was meant to do to this (and I know this sounds cocky) but this talented, creative award-winning journalist who gets to do what she loves for a living – writing, designing and photography. I’ve been through A LOT in the past 12 years and the boys, in some shape or form, have always been a part of it, leading me here.

To celebrate the anniversary, I started with a big update last night. Today, I finished that update.

- “The Right Kind of Wrong” – The entire story is now complete and up online.

- Snippets – There’s a new section called “Snippets” that I will be using to post random excerpts from stories that aren’t online and incomplete stories, etc. Right now, I posted the first three chapters of my very first story, “Back At One.” Let me warn you, it sucks. I knew nothing about writing fiction at the time and the character Karah in the story is SO Mary Sue (meaning the dream version of myself).

- “Superstar” – Chapter 7 – Beautiful Eyes is now up. This is a pivitol part in the story, so please send in feedback. I would really appreciate it.

Also, I wanted to make it clear to people that instead of going to the “fan fiction” link at the top of the page, the stories and pages are individually linked on the right sidebar over there.

What did you mean by not expect a happy ending with the last “Superstar” update? – Several readers

I didn’t mean that there wouldn’t be a happy ending at the very end of the story, but I meant that with the chapter ending in a kiss, not to expect them to fall in love, marry, have kids, the white-picket fense, etc. right from there. Just re-read the lyrics to “Superstar” by Taylor Swift or listen to it. The song is the story in a nutshell.

What kind of questions are you going to ask the guys? – Janine

Normal questions, but I have to be professional. It’s obviously mostly about the tour but I’m going to bring up the next album, depending on the boy, solo projects, etc.

Over the past 12 years, what has been the best memory involving Backstreet Boys or Nick Carter? – Sara xx

There’s so many, but I think the best one would be what happened July 5, 2003… a hotel… Nick Carter… free Sprite… Nick wiggling his tongue and and rubbing his nipples at me….  my friend Rachel… Nick killing my cell phone… and it ended the next morning when I told Nick to stop stalking me and he said that I was just so sexy.

Trust me, it’s not what it sounds like. LMAO!
