The finish line is here…

Sep 30th, 2010 | By

“Turn Right,” a story that I started on a whim in July by a late night discussion with Jessie is now complete with 33 chapters, all named after Rascal Flatts songs.

Welcome to the farm….

You know, it’s not every day that you get to meet one of your favorite singers while walking back to your car in a cow pasture to make sure that it was locked. That’s what happened yesterday after putting chairs out for the Luke Bryan concert. Well Tuesday, it’s technically Thursday now.

Hope to see you on the finish line…

Yeah, so this week is going to be interesting. I went to work today and would be off until Saturday but because I couldn’t get anybody to interview for my business stuff today, I have to go in for a little while on Wednesday. But other than that, I’m off until Saturday when I have a web cast and the newspaper to design.

The end is really near now….

I have written the last chapter on “Turn Right.” You have two more chapters after today’s update. I’m also considering a title for the sequel… possible either “Before the Storm” or “Drive.” Still debating that. Also, I found some lyrics for one of Taylor Swift’s new songs, “Back to December.” Don’t know if they are real, but if they are, the “Superstar” sequel will possibly be titled “Back to December.” The album comes out October 25 :)

You love me like I am…

I so don’t want to go to work today. Then I have to have this awkward convo with our publisher because I don’t think I got paid for the work on the webcast like I was supposed to. That’s going to be really awkward. Hopefully I get to work and there will be a separate check for me. I hope. Anyway, so I’ve started watching The Office on Netflix and Amy Adams was in a few episodes. All I can think about is Charlie in “Turn Right” when I see her now. She would really make the perfect Charlie, plus…..[continue reading...]

Is someone else calling you baby?

Wanna hear something funny? So the chapter that I’m updating on “Turn Right” today was named “Where You Are” and I went to go update and bam, there was already a chapter by that name. Next time I do stories using one artists’ songs, I need to print off a list and mark them off as I go. Good idea, right? Well I just want to say that Karma is awesome. Clint Bowyer, who beat Tony Stewart Sunday after Tony ran out of gas on the last lap was penalized 150 points today and his crew chief and car chief…..[continue reading...]

Just take my drunk ass home….

God, I love “Glee.” I mean, so freakin’ much. I don’t know why, I guess it’s because people break out into song and I wish that’s how real life was. I would love to walk by a hot guy and then start singing “I Wanna Sex U Up.” I mean, shouldn’t that be what life is like?

I’ve been waiting all my life…

Sep 20th, 2010 | By

Today was a pretty productive day. I got two articles done at work (including my interview with Luke Bryan about next week’s concert) and got an interview done with a plastic surgeon about a new permanent make-up surgery that she’s doing. Yesterday, however, sucked ass. It was a bad sports day for me.

This aching heart has come so far…

Sep 19th, 2010 | By

Hey everybody! I’m sitting here at work right now, waiting for another story to move on the AP wire before I finish up everything for the night. I have one more day of work and I’m off for two whole days and I can’t wait. It’s been a crazy few days for me. I got to interview Luke Bryan over the phone again on Friday and he was as awesome as always. I’ll probably write that interview up tomorrow while I’m at work. I was tonight but I’m just not in the mood to listen to myself make an ass…..[continue reading...]

I can’t think of a catchy title…

Sep 17th, 2010 | By

I guess I better get creative here soon. I’m interviewing Luke Bryan in like two hours. I’m giddy, but I’ve interviewed him before. I love that I get to do something for a living where I get to talk and interview people that I love, like Backstreet Boys and Luke Bryan. Granted, they are the only two so far, but there will be more I’m sure.

11th birthday coming soon…

Sep 16th, 2010 | By

So I just realized we have our 11th birthday coming up soon on October 19th! What do you think we should do, another contest? Krystle, who won our first contest, should be getting her prize any day now. (I know, I’m a slacker but she understands with my crazy schedule). What do ya’ll think? Leaving in a few to head to work! Ya’ll let me know what you think!

Why wait another minute…

First off, I want to say thank you to everybody who understands why I’ve made the chapters and stories for users only. It means a lot to me that you guys understand. To those that don’t and it makes you mad, I’m sorry. I promise, all you have to do is sign up for an account if you are 18 or older. Otherwise, you really don’t need to be reading my stories.

Quick update…

Sep 15th, 2010 | By

I’m off today, so I’m doing some updates to the site and the chapter pages of stories (except for “I Wanna Be Bad”) is for registered users only. Please read some of the feedback on the previous update post for more information on why I’m doing this. Please do note that just because you register, it doesn’t force you to give feedback although that would be nice :) It’s simply something I need to do to protect myself. I’ll post more information on this tonight and maybe even an update for “Turn Right” :) P.S. If you’re a new sign…..[continue reading...]
