I know that the past week my brain as been working over time and today, having a full day off to be a lazy bitch, even though I worked on my portfolio / photography site while being lazy, I’ve been thinking a lot. A lot of that thinking was about the BSB fandom and of course, my writing.

I will absolutely never shut this site down again and make it disappear from the web. Over the last almost three years, having been back in the game, I’ve seen how many people enjoy my stories. Whether it’s the new stories or the old ones that I think are complete crap, there’s those of you who love them and I love that. (more…)

I’m feeling very generous and excited today for some odd reason. I don’t know why. I guess it’s the massive amount of feedback I got from Heather about “Superstar” when I woke up today. It made me all giddy because I love feedback and it makes me happy and feels like I’m doing something good!

I went and replied to the feedback on the chapter I posted last night! Also, wanted to post a funny comment from Kristine (Kriss) that she made on Twitter when she read all the comments that readers made about fictional Kristine. (more…)

It’s been a long week. A long, long week.

I want to thank everybody for all the feedback and comments over the past few days. They have made me smile, a few made me cry and I just want to tel you guys how much your comments and feedbacks mean to me. They mean the world. They’ve helped me through some hard times and even today, when I’m doing so much better, they still make me feel somewhat important in this big old world. (more…)

Backstreet Boys in Orlando in 2004 at the Hurricane Benefit concert

Happy Fanniversary to me! Today marks 12 years that I’ve been a Backstreet Boys fan and my life changed forever because of it. Because of the boys, I met some of the best people in the world, friends and readers, and through them, I’ve figured out what I wanted in life – to be a writer and journalist.

It’s amazing that I’ve come this far in my life. I went from this depressed girl who somehow wanted back in high school and to know what she was meant to do to this (and I know this sounds cocky) but this talented, creative award-winning journalist who gets to do what she loves for a living – writing, designing and photography. I’ve been through A LOT in the past 12 years and the boys, in some shape or form, have always been a part of it, leading me here.

Twelve years ago on May 1, 1998, I saw Backstreet Boys at my high school Grad Nite trip to Disney World. Nick Carter asked, or well sung, the lyrics “Am I sexual?” I said yes and the rest is history. (more…)

I just want to thank everybody for all the feedback and everything from yesterday’s update! Apparently we broke the record of having the highest number of people on the site at once – 40 – this morning around 6 a.m. I think the e-mail update going out late night/early morning helps. What do you guys think? Especially since I update late sometimes because of work.

I’ve been watching “Ugly Betty” a lot lately. I always seem to get into shows when they are about to go off the air and on the show, Betty reminds me so much of me. Okay, so I don’t have hiddeous hair and I’m not a brace face, but her desires reminds me a lot of me. While I didn’t always know that I wanted to be in the publishing world, her wants and desires reminds me so much of me. (more…)

Happy Anniversary, Backstreet!

It was on April 20, 1993 when Brian Littrell received a phone call from his cousin Kevin Richardson while sitting in a high school class in Kentucky.

SPORT MLB BASEBALLSo today was supposed to be my day off but since I worked half a day yesterday, I had things to do today so I went over and worked a few hours today to work on my business feature for this week. I did find out that for next week’s business section, I’m interviewing a paranormal activity business in town, so that should be pretty damn cool. I’m doing it Friday since I’m doing another big interview on Monday that’s due on Monday. (more…)

I’m in rare Backstreet mode today. From the lips of my favorite co-worker: “I thought I was the most obsessed person over the Red Sox, but she has me beat!” Yes, that movie with Jimmy Fallon could have been made about him, but I’m not obsessed. I’m just excited about the concerts, that’s all!

I have a long day a head of me tomorrow. I have to be at the office before 10 a.m. to get concert tix to the final concert. Then I have to go tothe phone company, the doctor and then work nine hours! Loooong day. (more…)

So today I got fourth row tickets for a concert in Florida. To say the least with front row and fourth row tickets to see the guys, June is going to be a GREAT month.
